Lyhytkurssit aikuisille
Opettaja: Nina Bulgakova
Opetuspaikka: Ilmaisukoulu Valon Studio, Malmin kauppatie 8, Helsinki
Opetusmuoto: Lähiopetus
Movement improvisation is an open, creative practice where the body becomes an instrument for expression, storytelling, and presence. Drawing from contemporary dance, somatic awareness, and intuitive exploration, movement improvisation encourages curiosity, freedom, and connection — both to yourself and to the space and people around you.
The course introduces tools for discovering your own movement language: guided improvisation tasks, sensory awareness exercises, dynamic movement explorations, and practices drawn from contemporary and ethno-contemporary dance. Together, we explore how movement can express emotion, character, rhythm, and atmosphere — valuable skills for anyone interested in theatre and performance. No previous dance experience is required, only openness and a willingness to explore.
The course is intended for adults and young people over 16 years of age. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows full freedom of movement.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Nina Bulgakova, choreographer, performer, yoga instructor
“I graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture (MA in contemporary dance) and have worked extensively as a choreographer, dancer, and educator in contemporary and ethno-contemporary dance. I am the co-founder and artistic director of the Ethno Contemporary Ballet, originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine. My teaching grows from embodied awareness, intuition, and the belief that movement improvisation opens a path to authenticity, creativity, and deeper connection — both in dance and in life.”
